Although I missed traveling in Brazil during its ubiquitous Carnaval festival, my visit to South America’s most populous and culturally sovereign country was nonetheless stimulating — and I mean that literally in some cases, such as when it comes to Brazil’s sex motels. Indeed, whether you’re doing the tourist thing on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro or getting to know underrated São Paulo, Brazil has far more to offer than Carnaval.
