As travelers, we can (and should) educate ourselves about political situations in the countries we visit. But we often can’t (and almost always shouldn’t) inject ourselves into them.
The reasons I opted to travel a second time to Israel were rooted mostly in my own curiosities and desires — and now, six months after the end of that trip, I know I made the right decision in going back.
